Raelynn is a beautiful, smart and feisty 14 year old. She has had to endure more medical issues in her short years, than most people would in a lifetime. She has fought through 7 strokes and suffers from a rare genetic gene mutation called MYLK. A condition that doesn’t allow sufficient blood flow to her brain and other areas of her body,
Raelynn is a beautiful, smart and feisty 14 year old. She has had to endure more medical issues in her short years, than most people would in a lifetime. She has fought through 7 strokes and suffers from a rare genetic gene mutation called MYLK. A condition that doesn’t allow sufficient blood flow to her brain and other areas of her body, Despite her many challenges, such as losing the ability to use one whole side of her body, and being stripped away of her ability to speak, she continues to overcome many obstacles on a daily basis. She has taught herself how to walk 3 different times over the years. Relearned to eat by mouth, instead of through a feeding tube, and navigate a communication device, along with learning sign language as a means to communicate with others. We are so proud of how far she has come! She continues to amaze the world around her. She is the bravest girl I know and I am so proud to be her momma!
